Competely

A product film for an AI competitive analysis tool that shows the whole flow, from typing a URL to a finished report, in 75 seconds.

Competely builds a competitive analysis from a product URL. The film had to explain three steps and then show how much the report actually contains, without a voice-over carrying the explanation.

The interface is the cast

I rebuilt the parts of the app that matter as clean vector layers: the input field, the progress bar, the competitor list and the report table. Rebuilt UI stays sharp at any size and lets every element move on its own curve instead of sliding a screen recording around.

The cursor types, waits, chooses. Each step gets a full-screen title card in Competely red so the viewer always knows where they are.

  1. 00:01:12
  2. 00:07:00
  3. 00:16:00
  4. 00:24:00
  5. 00:40:00
  6. 01:12:00

Step by step: the hook, the input, choosing competitors, the step card, then the report.

Then let the report scroll

The payoff is volume. The last part of the film scrolls through the real report structure (marketing, product, pricing, sentiment, SWOT) at reading speed in places and skimming speed in others, so it feels thorough without asking anyone to read it.

Source material: the live analysis page the report section was rebuilt from.

Thought process

  1. 01

    Find the three steps

The product is simple: type a URL, pick competitors, get a report. The film had to make those steps obvious without a voice-over.

  2. 02

    Rebuild the UI

Screen recordings look soft and move as one block. Rebuilding the interface as vectors let every field and button move on its own curve.

  3. 03

    Add signposts

Full-screen step cards in Competely red reset the viewer between steps, like chapter titles.

  4. 04

    Sell the depth

The report is the payoff, so the last part scrolls through it at changing speeds: slow enough to read a line, fast enough to feel the volume.
