Diskwentofest

Artist reveals for a campus music festival: a night fair, a ferris wheel, and gold lettering that catches the light.

Diskwentofest was planned for the Talamban campus on April 6, 2024, and was later cancelled for internal reasons. The reveals were finished before that: each performer got a square animation that loops cleanly on a feed.

Built to loop

The artist drifts up out of the clouds, the ferris wheel and stars fade in behind, and the gold name glints once. After that only small things move (a sparkle, a slow drift), so the last frame holds on a feed and the loop point is invisible.

Thought process

  1. 01

    Set the scene

A night fair: purple sky, a ferris wheel and gold lettering, so every reveal feels like part of the same event.

  2. 02

    Design for the feed

Square format, a strong first second, and a final frame that works as a still poster.

  3. 03

    Hide the loop

After the reveal only small things move, so the end flows back into the start without a visible jump.
